Jastam Kastam was born in April 2004. Sakke and Jastam had some extra studio time waiting to be used up in a sensible manner. Such a manner was realized by setting up a band project with Jari, with the music pre-labeled as jazz-rock.

AFD and The Heads Roll were pulled together from Sakke and Jastam's jam ideas. Jari dug Solarium from the desktop drawer and, inspired by the project, shot the rest of the tunes onto paper from the hip. Teemu was taken along to round up the quartet.

We rehearsed the songs record-ready but meanwhile the studio time had evaporated. Regardless, since the groundwork was done already, we decided to take care of the recording ourselves. In October we got the bed tracks down and in a few more sessions the extra tracks were laid down as well. The mixdown took a while and so did mastering, which was done way out in the US of A.

After all this trouble we could not be bothered to actually release the album... but this is being fixed right now.
